Terms of service
Last updated 24 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of VINCheck.ng and the vehicle history reports we provide. By using the site or buying a report you agree to them.
2. What a report is
A report is a summary of records held by our third-party data providers about a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at the time the report is generated. Records come mainly from the United States and Canada, including NMVTIS and NHTSA data.
3. What a report is not
- It is not a mechanical inspection or a guarantee of a vehicle's condition, value or legal status.
- It cannot include incidents that were never reported to the databases we search.
- It does not verify Nigerian customs, registration or ownership documents.
4. Payments and refunds
Prices are shown in Naira and charged through Paystack. If our providers return no history records for a VIN, you may request a credit or a full refund within 30 days. Refunds are not available because a report shows records you didn't expect, or because you entered the wrong VIN and the report was delivered.
5. Acceptable use
You may share your report with others involved in a purchase. You may not resell reports, scrape the site, or use reports to harass or identify individuals.
6. Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a report is limited to the amount you paid for it.
